Dedicated terminals exception FAQ

Among the changes to UK copyright law introduced on June 1st 2014 was an exception to copyright permitting educational institutions, not for profit publically accessible libraries, archives and museums to make digitised collection items available on site via “dedicated terminals”.

In April 2016, the impact of this new exception was debated by a Speakers’ Panel at the CILIP Copyright Executive Briefing.  The key issues raised during that discussion were captured and form the basis of this set of FAQs.
