The Libraries and Archives Copyright Alliance’s submission to the Business, Innovation and Skills Committee Inquiry into the Hargreaves Review of Intellectual Property contains comments on the recommendations made by the review. It covers:

  • using evidence to drive policy;
  • copyright licensing;
  • orphan works;
  • limits to copyright (including for preservation purposes, non-commercial research and private study, illustration in teaching, text and data mining, protection from override by contracts);
  • enforcement of IP rights.
